1. Introduction
Made By Bang ("we", "us", "our") operates the HOLDLINE mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the App, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
HOLDLINE is an offline single-player puzzle game. We are a solo developer studio based in Vietnam.
By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
The App does not require an account, login, or registration. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, photo, location, or any other personal information.
2.2 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following data on your device only, never on our servers:

You can clear all of this data by:
- iOS: Settings → HOLDLINE → Reset, OR uninstall the app
- Android: Settings → Apps → HOLDLINE → Storage → Clear data, OR uninstall
- In-app: Settings → Reset Progress
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
The App does not include any analytics SDK (no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.) in the current version.
If we add analytics in a future update, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain your consent where required by law.
2.4 Advertising (Future Feature)
The App is shipped without active advertising. When advertising is enabled in a future version (gated by player progression):
- We may use Google AdMob to serve ads.
- Ad partners may collect device identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) only if you explicitly grant permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) or the in-app consent management platform (CMP).
- If you decline tracking, ads are still shown but are non-personalized.
- Rewarded ads may be offered as an optional feature (e.g., to continue a run). They are never required.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time via:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle off "HOLDLINE"
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID / Opt out
2.5 In-App Purchases
HOLDLINE offers an optional one-time purchase called "No Forced Ads". Payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not receive your payment details. We only receive a transaction receipt confirming purchase, used to grant entitlement on your device.
3. How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above only to:
- Run the game on your device
- Persist your progress and preferences
- Validate in-app purchases
- (When ads enabled) display advertising via third-party SDK
We do not:
- Sell or rent your data
- Build a profile of you
- Combine your data with other sources
- Send marketing messages
4. Sharing Your Information
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

We will update this policy before adding any new third-party SDK that processes user data.
5. Children's Privacy
HOLDLINE is rated 4+ on the App Store and Everyone on Google Play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not include child-directed advertising features and is not categorized as a Kids app under COPPA.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has somehow caused information to be transmitted to us, please contact us at hello@madebybang.com and we will work to delete it.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of any data we hold (currently: none beyond local device storage)
- Deletion — uninstall the app, or use Settings → Reset Progress
- Opt-out of tracking — see §2.4
- Withdraw consent — toggle off ATT/CMP at any time

EU residents: under GDPR, our legal basis for processing is your consent (where you grant ATT/CMP) or our legitimate interest in operating the game.
California residents: under CCPA, we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Data Retention
- Local device data is retained until you uninstall the app or clear data.
- IAP receipts retained by Apple/Google per their own policies.
- We do not retain any data on our servers.
8. Security
Game progress is stored using standard iOS UserDefaults and Android SharedPreferences. These are sandboxed per app and not accessible to other apps without your action. We do not transmit user data over the network in the current version.
9. International Transfers
The App is developed in Vietnam. If you use the App from outside Vietnam, your data (limited to local device storage) remains on your device and is not transferred internationally by us.
If we add analytics or ads in the future, those services may transfer data to servers in the United States or elsewhere; we will list those transfers explicitly when applicable.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after the update constitutes acceptance of the changes. Significant changes (e.g., adding analytics) will trigger a notice in the App.
