By downloading, installing, or using the SplitLedger application ("App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any terms, please do not use the App.

2. Service Description

SplitLedger is a mobile application that helps users:

Record and manage group expenses
Track who paid and who owes whom
Calculate and suggest settlement transactions
Store receipt photos
Sync data with Google Sheet/Drive (optional)

3. Account and Responsibility

3.1 No Registration Required

The App does not require account creation for basic features
Google sign-in is only required for cloud sync features

3.2 Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

The accuracy of data you enter
Security of your device and data
Using the App for its intended purpose and in compliance with laws

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 Our Rights

The App, including design, source code, logo, and content, is owned by SplitLedger
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or sell any part of the App

4.2 Your Rights

You own all data you enter into the App
You have the right to export, backup, and delete your data at any time

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for illegal purposes
Attempt unauthorized access to systems
Distribute malware or harmful content
Use the App to harass or defraud others
Reverse engineer or decompile the App

6. Third-Party Services

6.1 Google Services

When using Google sync features, you must also comply with:

We are not responsible for:

Service interruptions or changes by Google
Google suspending or terminating your account
Data loss caused by Google's services

6.2 Firebase Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to collect anonymous usage data to improve the application. This data collection is automatic and helps us enhance your experience.

6.3 App Store

Downloading and installing the App is subject to Apple App Store / Google Play Store terms

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". We do not guarantee that:

The App will operate continuously without interruption
The App is free from errors or viruses
Calculation results are completely accurate in all cases
Data will not be lost
Google sync feature will always be available

You should backup important data regularly.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, SplitLedger is NOT liable for:

Data loss (local or on Google)
Direct or indirect damages from using the App
Financial disputes between group members
Service interruptions or technical errors
Google APIs service disruptions

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SplitLedger harmless from any claims, damages, costs arising from:

Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of third-party rights
Content you create or share through the App

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it
You can disconnect Google in Settings

10.2 By Us

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms
We may discontinue the App with reasonable prior notice

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the new terms.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
